This Program is for those stallion owners that want a small breeding stallion insurance policy (Limited Amount of Stored Frozen Semen) in the event that a stallion is no longer available due to illness, death or sale. The average stallion will produce about 8 to12 breeding dose units of frozen semen per ejaculate. Combining The total of 2 collections should yield about 16 to 24 breeding units of frozen semen. For a small breeder, this “safety net” semen bank could be a breeding business life saver; should stallion looses breeding soundness, expire, need to be gelded or be sold. Frozen Semen can be stored for many years when stored in liquid nitrogen, possibly indefinitely.
